a rough week

This last week my step dad had heart surgery after his second heart attack. Scary nerve wracking stuff! I've been in and out of the hospital a bunch and hanging around helping take care of him until he recovers. The past  few nights I have been painting this piece in the garage. It's been very therapeutic.

OH YEAH!

Just watched this again. It's been well over 10 years seen the last time. Such a fantastic way to spend a Sunday night. 2 thumbs way up!

Best friends

I think sometimes I take my best friends for granted. I couldn't put a price on the time and laughs we've shared together. This photo was taken at the end of a great day. Passed out with a bloody nose and empty coke baggy in the mouth might very well be my new favorite 2011 look.

Carson Mel is most excellent

The first Carson Mel video I watched  was "Chonto". I've since been watching them all and laughing hysterically.

Footsteps in the forest

When I was in elementary school there was a serial killer in our town named Wesley Allan Dodd. He only killed kids. I was freaked out after hearing a number of stories and news reports on him. One day a massive painted portrait of him appeared on this old bridge that collapsed into a lake, a spot where he dumped a few kids bodies. I wish that I had a photo of how eerie this location with the crumbled bridge and painting actually was. It gives me goosebumps just thinking about it. Well about five years later someone nailed another huge painting at the end of the bridge that had an aliens head and said "they are among us". That phrase has always stuck with me. The bridge with the signs is completely collapsed now and under water. There were alot of tales about aliens around the lake and in the surrounding woods. I'm planning on doing about a dozen alien creatures spread out in the forest. Oh and when I was younger I saw a UFO over the same lake. True story.

Dino Daze

Last time I painted my hidden spot I stashed the paint in some bushes so I wouldn't have to hall it back in the kayak. Sure enough some vagrant found it and drew dicks and other crappy tags all over my piece. Argh!! So lame! I left a few creepy messages in case they come back.
